Exploring the Nature of God, will come to life through the energy, care, and dedication of our amazing volunteers.

From leading small groups and helping with activities to assisting with check in and hospitality, every role plays an important part in making KidsFest a safe, fun, and impactful environment for every child. You do not need prior experience. Just a willing heart to serve and be part of what God is doing.

If you are looking for a meaningful way to give back and invest in the next generation, this is a great opportunity to serve alongside others and make a lasting difference.

This May, we’re inviting our TMC family to once again come alongside CHOICES and support their annual community baby shower. This meaningful outreach helps stock their in-house store with essential items for new and expecting parents in our community.

We are currently collecting diaper donations (size 4 and up) as well as pull-ups. You can also give financially, and those funds will go directly toward purchasing diapers to meet ongoing needs.

Donations can be dropped off in the church lobby throughout the month of May.

Women’s Defense Class at TMC

We invite all women to join us for a special Women’s Defense Class designed to encourage, equip, and build confidence. This introductory session will focus on personal awareness, safety, and practical self defense techniques for everyday situations.

Led by Phil Duncan, this hands on class will provide a supportive and welcoming environment for women of all experience levels. Whether you are new or simply looking to grow in confidence and preparedness, this is a great opportunity to learn valuable skills.

We are excited to announce that Child Dedication Sunday will take place on April 19 at The Ministry Center. This special moment in the life of our church gives families the opportunity to thank God for the blessing of their child and publicly commit to raising them in the truth of God’s Word.

Child dedication is a celebration of the gift God has given through your baby and a recognition that God is the ultimate Father over every child. When parents dedicate their child, they express gratitude to God and make a promise to raise their child with biblical guidance, prayer, and faith.

During this time, our church family also joins together to pray over each child and support the parents as they lead their child in a Christ centered life. It is a beautiful reminder that the church walks alongside families in raising the next generation.

Child dedication is different from water baptism. Baptism is an ordinance of the Church and an outward expression of a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ. Child dedication focuses on the parents’ commitment to raise their child according to the teachings of Scripture.

Men’s Breakfast at TMC – Join Us April 11

The TMC Men’s Ministry is excited to invite all men to our upcoming Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, April 11 at 9:00 AM. This will be a great morning of food, fellowship, and encouragement as men from across our church gather together.

At The Ministry Center, we believe strong men help build strong families, strong churches, and strong communities. Our Men’s Breakfast provides a relaxed setting where men of all ages can connect, share life experiences, and encourage one another in their walk with God.

Calling for Mowing Team Volunteers at TMC

The Ministry Center is blessed with a beautiful campus that serves our church family and the surrounding community every week. Maintaining the grounds is an important part of creating a welcoming environment for worship, ministry, and outreach. We are currently inviting volunteers to join our TMC Mowing Team and help care for the property God has entrusted to us.

Serving on the mowing team is a practical way to contribute to the life of our church. Volunteers help keep the lawns and outdoor areas looking clean, safe, and inviting for everyone who visits the campus. Whether you enjoy working outdoors or simply want to give back through service, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

To ensure safety and proper care of our equipment and grounds, all mowing team volunteers must complete training and operational guidance from our maintenance team before serving. This training will cover equipment use, safety procedures, and scheduling so that everyone is prepared and confident when serving.

Once trained, volunteers will be placed on a rotating schedule that allows flexibility while ensuring the campus remains well maintained throughout the season.

If you would like to serve on the TMC Mowing Team or would like more information about the training process, please contact the church office or speak with a member of our maintenance team. We would love to have you be part of caring for the place where ministry happens every week.

Spring is almost here, and we are excited to invite you and your family to one of our favorite events of the year at The Ministry Center. Our annual Easter Eggstravaganza is happening on Saturday, March 28 at 10:00 AM at 2929 Hamill Road in Hixson, and it is completely free for the entire community.

This is more than just an egg hunt. It is a morning designed to bring families together and create lasting memories. We will have a massive Easter egg hunt organized so children of all ages can participate and enjoy the fun. In addition, families can enjoy inflatables, pony rides, an animal farm, games, giveaways, food, and more.

We encourage everyone to arrive a little early and bring a basket for collecting eggs. Everything is set up to provide a safe, welcoming, and exciting experience for kids and parents alike. Whether you attend TMC regularly or are visiting for the first time, you are invited and welcome.

There is no cost to attend. Simply invite a friend, bring your family, and join us for a fun-filled morning as we celebrate this Easter season together.

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, we are invited into something simple yet powerful. Close the door.

In Gospel of Matthew 6:6, Jesus gives clear instruction. When you pray, go into your room and close the door. This was not just about privacy. It was about priority. It was about shutting out distraction so we can tune in to the voice of the Father.

Again and again in the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of Mark, we see the pattern. Jesus withdrew. He stepped away from crowds. He left the noise. He even distanced Himself from His closest disciples in order to pray. Before major decisions. After powerful miracles. In moments of pressure. In the garden before the cross. He closed the door.

Solitude was not weakness. It was strength. It was not isolation. It was intimacy.

In this new Sunday series, Close the Door, we will follow the teaching of Jesus and the example He modeled. We will journey through Scripture and learn how to step away from distraction and step into deeper communion with God. Together, we will explore how solitude prepares us for surrender, how prayer strengthens us for obedience, and how quiet moments shape public victories.

Easter reminds us of the greatest victory ever won. But before there was an empty tomb, there was a quiet garden. Before there was resurrection power, there was surrendered prayer.

This season, let us follow His pattern. Find a place. Shut out the noise. Open your heart.

We are excited to invite you to our Accelerate Celebration on March 8. This special worship service will be a time to thank God and celebrate an incredible milestone in the life of our church as we rejoice in becoming debt free.

We are honored to welcome Jimmie Talley and Renee Talley as our special guests. Bishop Talley currently serves as the State Ministries Director for the Churches of God in Tennessee, and he and Renee previously served as pastors of The Ministry Center. Their presence makes this celebration even more meaningful as we reflect on God’s faithfulness through the years.

Immediately following the service, we will gather for a covered dish meal. The church will provide the meat, and we invite everyone to bring a side dish or dessert to share. We look forward to celebrating together as a church family and giving thanks for all God has done.

Make plans now to join us for our Annual Business Meeting on Wednesday, February 25 at 7:30 PM, immediately following our Midweek Service.

This is an important time in the life of our church family as we gather together to reflect on all that God has done over the past year. We will share highlights, celebrate victories, review key updates, and look ahead with vision and faith for what is to come.

Your presence matters. Every testimony, every prayer, every act of service has helped shape this past year, and this meeting gives us the opportunity to rejoice together in God’s faithfulness and provision.

Ladies are invited to join us for a special Ladies Winter Tea on Saturday, February 21 at 11:00 AM at Mountain Oaks Manor.

This event will be a meaningful time of fellowship and connection, and brunch is included with your ticket. Tickets are $20, and ladies are encouraged to register by Thursday, February 12.

Sunday Worship Update for February 1

We are actively monitoring local weather conditions, including areas around our campus. With many in our surrounding communities experiencing challenging conditions, we anticipate holding an adjusted worship service this Sunday morning.

While there will be no choir or children’s ministry programming, we do plan to gather together for worship. We also want to encourage everyone to use wisdom and discretion when making travel decisions.

If conditions in your area are not safe, we strongly encourage you to remain at home and join us online. Your safety is very important to us.

Small Groups Leader Training Begins February 15

Small Groups are a vital part of life at The Ministry Center. We believe God created us to live in community, and it is through meaningful relationships that we grow spiritually, find support, and experience the life God intends for us.

At TMC, we believe we must grow smaller as we grow larger. Small Groups help make a big church feel personal by creating spaces where people can connect, grow, and walk through life together.

As we prepare to launch our Spring Small Groups on March 1, we are inviting anyone interested in leading a Small Group to attend our upcoming Leader Training. Please note that both training dates are included on the flyer so you can choose the option that works best for you.
