This Sunday at TMC, we will commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation with a special message titled Declaration of Dependence.

As we reflect on pivotal moments in America’s history, we will also look at the lives of leaders who recognized their need for God’s guidance. Through prayer, trust, and surrender, they sought His wisdom during defining moments that shaped our nation.

This message will be both informative and inspiring, reminding us that while we celebrate the blessings of freedom, our greatest strength has always been found in our dependence on God.

We invite you, your family, and your friends to join us this Sunday for a meaningful time of worship and encouragement.

Midweek Pause Continues This Summer | July 8 & July 15 Schedule Update

As part of our summer schedule, The Ministry Center will continue our Midweek Pause on Wednesday, July 8, and Wednesday, July 15. There will be no Midweek Gatherings on these evenings.

Our Midweek Pause gives families, volunteers, and ministry teams an opportunity to enjoy a slower summer rhythm while remaining connected through our Sunday worship gatherings.

We encourage everyone to make plans to join us each Sunday at 10:30 AM as we continue to worship together, grow in God’s Word, and celebrate all that He is doing in our church family.

Thank You, TMC! Your Generosity for Alma’s Closet Is Blessing Missionaries Worldwide

We are incredibly thankful for the generosity and compassion of our TMC family and Women’s Ministry! Because of your willingness to give, the Alma’s Closet collection was a wonderful success and will make a lasting impact on the lives of missionaries and international pastors around the world.

Together, our church family collected:

• 103 dresses
• 2 pairs of shoes
• 4 purses
• 100 reusable bags

Each donation represents more than an item. It is an expression of God’s love, encouragement, and care for those who faithfully serve in ministry across the globe.

These generous gifts will be distributed through the upcoming Church of God General Assembly as part of the Alma’s Closet project, a ministry that has faithfully blessed women serving in missions for many years. Your donations will provide practical support while reminding missionaries and international pastors that they are loved, appreciated, and prayed for by churches like ours.

Thank you to everyone who donated, prayed, and supported this special missions project. Your generosity is helping continue the legacy of Alma’s Closet and extending the love of Christ to those serving in communities around the world.

Join us on Sunday, July 19, immediately following our morning worship service, for a special Lemonade Stand & Bake Sale benefiting Isaiah 117 House of Hamilton County.

This fun and meaningful event is an opportunity for our church family to come together and support a ministry that is making a tremendous impact in the lives of children entering foster care. Isaiah 117 House provides a safe, welcoming place where children can receive comfort, care, and support while they await foster placement. Their mission helps ease a difficult transition and reminds children that they are loved and valued.

We invite everyone to stop by, enjoy a refreshing glass of lemonade, purchase some delicious homemade baked goods, and learn more about the important work being done through Isaiah 117 House. Every donation will help support this incredible ministry and the children they serve in our community.

On Wednesday, June 24, TMC Church will not hold our regular Midweek Gatherings.

We encourage our church family to take advantage of this opportunity to attend the Tennessee Church of God State Camp Meeting at North Cleveland Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee. Camp Meeting is a special time of worship, fellowship, ministry, and spiritual encouragement as believers from across the state gather together.

Whether you can attend one service or spend the evening there, we believe you will be blessed by the worship and ministry taking place throughout the week.

A Message from Pastor Phil: Timeless Truths Through Timeless Hymns

This past Sunday, we began our June sermon series, HYMNS, and I could not be more excited about what God has in store for us during these next few weeks.

Throughout this series, we will be revisiting many of the beloved hymns that have shaped the faith and worship of generations of believers. While musical styles may change, the truths found in these songs remain as relevant and powerful today as ever.

This series also serves as a celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Redback Hymnal, a collection of songs that has played a significant role in the worship life of our church and countless congregations around the world. Many of these hymns have encouraged believers through seasons of joy, struggle, victory, and faithfulness.

One of the things I appreciate most about these songs is their ability to connect generations through a shared message of hope in Christ. Over the years, many Redback favorites have also been recorded and reimagined by a variety of artists, introducing these timeless lyrics to new audiences.

I would like to invite you to take a few moments to listen to some of my favorite Redback songs as performed by artists such as Alan Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Gordon Mote, Tim Hill, Dolly Parton, Don Henley, Mylon LeFevre, Selah, Whitney Houston, and many others.

As you listen, I pray you will be reminded of the faithfulness of God and encouraged by the timeless truths found in these treasured hymns.

Alma’s Closet Mission Project

Alma’s Closet is a tangible way to bless Church of God World Missions missionaries from around the world. Throughout the month of June, we are collecting new dresses, purses, and shoes (all items must have tags attached) to help provide encouragement and practical support to women serving in ministry across the globe.

Donations may be dropped off in the TMC lobby during the month of June. Thank you for partnering with us in this worthwhile missions project and helping make a difference in the lives of missionaries and their families.

At TMC Church, we believe ministry extends beyond our church walls and into the communities around us. We are excited to invite our church family to participate in a special TMC Frontlines Serve Opportunity as we partner with the Terra Running Co. Summer Sizzler 5K + 1 Mile Fun Run on Friday, June 26 at 7:00 PM.

This is a wonderful opportunity to represent Christ through simple acts of kindness and encouragement while connecting with our local community. Our TMC Frontlines team will serve at a water station along the race route, helping provide refreshments and creating a welcoming atmosphere for runners and families participating in the event.

Serving goes beyond handing out water. We want to create moments of encouragement through smiles, uplifting words, high fives, positive energy, and genuine connection with every participant we meet. Small acts of kindness can make a big impact.

As part of the volunteer team:

• Assist with preparing and distributing water to race participants

• Help create a welcoming and encouraging environment

• Cheer on runners and families throughout the event

• Serve alongside fellow TMC family members as we make a positive impact together

Volunteers should wear their TMC Apparel shirt so our team is easily recognizable while serving throughout the event.

We are excited to announce that we are forming a TMC Men’s Softball Team and inviting men from our church to be part of this opportunity. This is a great way to connect with others, enjoy some friendly competition, and represent The Ministry Center in a local church league.

Games will take place on Monday nights at local fields, including Veterans Park and other nearby locations. Whether you have played before or are just looking to try something new, this is a welcoming and encouraging environment for all skill levels.

We are working quickly to build our team, and interest is needed right away. Randy Young is helping coordinate our TMC group, and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in playing or being part of the team in any way.

This May, we’re inviting our TMC family to once again come alongside CHOICES and support their annual community baby shower. This meaningful outreach helps stock their in-house store with essential items for new and expecting parents in our community.

We are currently collecting diaper donations (size 4 and up) as well as pull-ups. You can also give financially, and those funds will go directly toward purchasing diapers to meet ongoing needs.

Donations can be dropped off in the church lobby throughout the month of May.

Women’s Defense Class at TMC

We invite all women to join us for a special Women’s Defense Class designed to encourage, equip, and build confidence. This introductory session will focus on personal awareness, safety, and practical self defense techniques for everyday situations.

Led by Phil Duncan, this hands on class will provide a supportive and welcoming environment for women of all experience levels. Whether you are new or simply looking to grow in confidence and preparedness, this is a great opportunity to learn valuable skills.
