Due to Fall Break, there will be no Midweek Gatherings at TMC on Wednesday, October 14.
This includes our regular Kids, Students, and Adult gatherings.
Enjoy the break and time with your family! We look forward to gathering together again the following Wednesday for our regular Midweek activities.

# New Series: PEOPLE OF PRAYER

Prayer is more than something we do. **We are invited to become people of prayer.**

For many of us, prayer can easily become something we turn to when we need help, face a difficult situation, or want God to intervene. At other times, it can feel like another spiritual discipline we know we *should* do. But God invites us into something much deeper.

Prayer is deeper than a performance and more beautiful than a duty. At its heart, **prayer is about our relationship with God.**

God desires for us to know Him, spend time with Him, talk with Him, listen to Him, and learn to recognize His presence in every part of our lives. Prayer isn't simply an activity reserved for certain moments—it can become part of who we are.

In our new series, **PEOPLE OF PRAYER**, we'll explore what it means to move beyond simply *praying* and begin becoming **pray-ers**—people whose lives are shaped by an ongoing relationship and conversation with God.

Whether prayer has been part of your life for years or you're still learning what it means to pray, this series is an invitation to go deeper.

Join us each week as we discover the beauty, purpose, and power of prayer and learn what it means to truly become **PEOPLE OF PRAYER**.

Come worship with us and invite someone to join you!

TMC is excited to announce an upcoming Missions Trip to Uganda in partnership with Imani Milele!

This trip will give our TMC team an opportunity to see firsthand the incredible ministry taking place through Imani Milele and to serve the children and families they impact every day. Imani Milele currently serves approximately 5,000 children and 50 widows throughout Uganda.

During the trip, our team will have opportunities to visit and minister at several of Imani Milele’s eight school centers, attend a church service at their main campus in Kampala, experience life and ministry in rural areas of Uganda, and build relationships with the children and communities they serve.

Most importantly, this is an opportunity to use the gifts and talents God has given you to serve others and share the love of Christ in a meaningful and practical way.
Interested in Going?

We will hold a brief informational meeting immediately following church this Sunday for anyone interested in learning more about the trip.

NEW SERMON SERIES: FOUND

Luke 15 gives us a beautiful picture of the heart of the gospel and what matters deeply to God: people.

In response to the grumbling of the Pharisees and scribes, Jesus tells three powerful parables: the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son. Each story builds on the one before it and gives us a deeper understanding of the heart of God toward those who are lost.

In our new three-week sermon series, FOUND, we will walk through Luke 15 and discover what these parables teach us about searching, finding, and celebrating what God loves most: people!

Join us at The Ministry Center for this new series and invite someone to experience FOUND with you.

Serve as part of an event team

Help coordinate an area

Step into a team leadership role

You don’t have to know exactly where you fit—we can help with that!

Your Yes Can Make a Difference

Great events don’t just happen—they happen because people are willing to serve.

Bring your gifts. Bring your ideas. Bring your willingness to help.

We’d love to have you on the team!

We’re excited to begin a new sermon series, ON THE RUN.

Throughout the Bible, we find stories of people who were on the run. Some were running from past hurt. Others were running from potential harm. Many were running from God.

Yet wherever they ran, God was already there.

In this new series, we’ll follow the stories of biblical characters who found themselves ON THE RUN and discover how God met them in unexpected places and circumstances.

Their stories remind us of an important truth. No matter where we hide, how far we run, or what we are running from, we are never beyond the reach of God’s loving care and attention.

Maybe you are running from something today. It could be your past, a difficult situation, an uncertain future, a calling, or even God Himself.

The good news is that God knows exactly where you are, and His grace can reach you there.

Join Us This Sunday

Join us this Sunday as we begin ON THE RUN and discover what these powerful stories can teach us about God’s pursuit, presence, grace, and faithfulness.

Invite a friend and come ready to be encouraged.

We invite you to join us for a very special morning at The Ministry Center as we celebrate Pastor Appreciation Sunday in honor of Pastors Phil & Evie Harris.

This will be a meaningful time of worship, reflection, and gratitude as we recognize and honor the faithful leadership of our pastors. Through their teaching, encouragement, prayer, and servant hearts, Pastors Phil and Evie have faithfully invested in the lives of our church family, and we look forward to celebrating all that God has done through their ministry.

If you would like, you’re welcome to bring a card, gift card, or another expression of appreciation as a way of thanking them for their faithful service.

Following the morning service, everyone is invited to stay for a Pastor Appreciation Luncheon. The church will provide the main entrée and drinks, and we invite you to help make it a wonderful potluck meal by bringing a side dish or dessert to share.

It’s time to kick off the new school year with a fun evening at TMC Kids!

All 1st through 5th grade students are invited to join us for our Back to School Bike Night on Wednesday, July 29, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Bring your bike and helmet and enjoy an evening filled with fun, friendship, and outdoor activities as we celebrate the start of a new school year together. It’s a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and make new ones before classes begin.

We hope you’ll join us for this exciting night!

Have you ever felt unqualified, overlooked, or like the odds were stacked against you? Maybe you’ve wondered if your past, your circumstances, or your limitations have kept you from what God has for your life.

The good news is that the Bible is filled with stories of ordinary people facing extraordinary challenges. Time and again, God chose those the world overlooked to accomplish His greatest purposes. From unlikely leaders to unexpected heroes, Scripture reminds us that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Join us for our new sermon series, God of the Underdog, as we explore powerful stories from God’s Word and discover how He works through people who seem least likely to succeed. Whether you’re facing impossible circumstances, battling discouragement, or simply need a reminder of God’s faithfulness, this series will encourage you to trust that He is working in your life.

When God is on your side, your circumstances don’t define your future. Your past doesn’t determine your purpose. And no obstacle is too great for His power.

We invite you to join us each Sunday as we discover together this life changing truth:

With God on our side, no one is an underdog.

We look forward to worshiping with you at TMC Church!

Join Us This Sunday as We Celebrate Our Nation’s 250th Anniversary

This Sunday at TMC, we will commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation with a special message titled Declaration of Dependence.

As we reflect on pivotal moments in America’s history, we will also look at the lives of leaders who recognized their need for God’s guidance. Through prayer, trust, and surrender, they sought His wisdom during defining moments that shaped our nation.

This message will be both informative and inspiring, reminding us that while we celebrate the blessings of freedom, our greatest strength has always been found in our dependence on God.

We invite you, your family, and your friends to join us this Sunday for a meaningful time of worship and encouragement.

Midweek Pause Continues This Summer | July 8 & July 15 Schedule Update

As part of our summer schedule, The Ministry Center will continue our Midweek Pause on Wednesday, July 8, and Wednesday, July 15. There will be no Midweek Gatherings on these evenings.

Our Midweek Pause gives families, volunteers, and ministry teams an opportunity to enjoy a slower summer rhythm while remaining connected through our Sunday worship gatherings.

We encourage everyone to make plans to join us each Sunday at 10:30 AM as we continue to worship together, grow in God’s Word, and celebrate all that He is doing in our church family.

Thank you for being part of The Ministry Center. We look forward to gathering with you this Sunday!

Thank You, TMC! Your Generosity for Alma’s Closet Is Blessing Missionaries Worldwide

We are incredibly thankful for the generosity and compassion of our TMC family and Women’s Ministry! Because of your willingness to give, the Alma’s Closet collection was a wonderful success and will make a lasting impact on the lives of missionaries and international pastors around the world.

Together, our church family collected:

• 103 dresses
• 2 pairs of shoes
• 4 purses
• 100 reusable bags

Each donation represents more than an item. It is an expression of God’s love, encouragement, and care for those who faithfully serve in ministry across the globe.

These generous gifts will be distributed through the upcoming Church of God General Assembly as part of the Alma’s Closet project, a ministry that has faithfully blessed women serving in missions for many years. Your donations will provide practical support while reminding missionaries and international pastors that they are loved, appreciated, and prayed for by churches like ours.

Thank you to everyone who donated, prayed, and supported this special missions project. Your generosity is helping continue the legacy of Alma’s Closet and extending the love of Christ to those serving in communities around the world.

May God richly bless each of you for your faithful and generous hearts. Thank you for making a difference through missions!

Join us on Sunday, July 19, immediately following our morning worship service, for a special Lemonade Stand & Bake Sale benefiting Isaiah 117 House of Hamilton County.

This fun and meaningful event is an opportunity for our church family to come together and support a ministry that is making a tremendous impact in the lives of children entering foster care. Isaiah 117 House provides a safe, welcoming place where children can receive comfort, care, and support while they await foster placement. Their mission helps ease a difficult transition and reminds children that they are loved and valued.

We invite everyone to stop by, enjoy a refreshing glass of lemonade, purchase some delicious homemade baked goods, and learn more about the important work being done through Isaiah 117 House. Every donation will help support this incredible ministry and the children they serve in our community.

Whether you can give, bake, volunteer, or simply stop by for a treat, your participation helps make a difference. We are grateful for every act of generosity and look forward to sharing this special day together.

A Message from Pastor Phil: Timeless Truths Through Timeless Hymns

This past Sunday, we began our June sermon series, HYMNS, and I could not be more excited about what God has in store for us during these next few weeks.

Throughout this series, we will be revisiting many of the beloved hymns that have shaped the faith and worship of generations of believers. While musical styles may change, the truths found in these songs remain as relevant and powerful today as ever.

This series also serves as a celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Redback Hymnal, a collection of songs that has played a significant role in the worship life of our church and countless congregations around the world. Many of these hymns have encouraged believers through seasons of joy, struggle, victory, and faithfulness.

One of the things I appreciate most about these songs is their ability to connect generations through a shared message of hope in Christ. Over the years, many Redback favorites have also been recorded and reimagined by a variety of artists, introducing these timeless lyrics to new audiences.

I would like to invite you to take a few moments to listen to some of my favorite Redback songs as performed by artists such as Alan Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Gordon Mote, Tim Hill, Dolly Parton, Don Henley, Mylon LeFevre, Selah, Whitney Houston, and many others.

As you listen, I pray you will be reminded of the faithfulness of God and encouraged by the timeless truths found in these treasured hymns.

Thank you for joining us on this journey through the songs that have helped shape our faith. I look forward to worshiping with you throughout the month of June.
