A Message from Pastor Phil: Timeless Truths Through Timeless Hymns

This past Sunday, we began our June sermon series, HYMNS, and I could not be more excited about what God has in store for us during these next few weeks.

Throughout this series, we will be revisiting many of the beloved hymns that have shaped the faith and worship of generations of believers. While musical styles may change, the truths found in these songs remain as relevant and powerful today as ever.

This series also serves as a celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Redback Hymnal, a collection of songs that has played a significant role in the worship life of our church and countless congregations around the world. Many of these hymns have encouraged believers through seasons of joy, struggle, victory, and faithfulness.

One of the things I appreciate most about these songs is their ability to connect generations through a shared message of hope in Christ. Over the years, many Redback favorites have also been recorded and reimagined by a variety of artists, introducing these timeless lyrics to new audiences.
